Only immaculate animals without any diseases or parasites and which have a fleece of at least nine cm of thickness are suitable for creating high quality fleeces. \nThe next step is to shear the alpaca to harvest the fleece.<\/p><p>Afterwards the fibres are thoroughly cleaned and washed in clean spring water. The fine areas inside where the highest quality of fibres can be found are rolled to the inside to avoid any contamination.<\/p><p>Once clean the fleeces are dried in the sun. Once completely dried they are weight, registered and their quality is assessed and they are categorized by age, alpaca variety and colour. Then they are either processed further directly in the area or transported in yute sacks to nearby locations.<\/p><p>Nach der Reinigung werden die Vliese in der Sonne getrocknet.
