Nachhaltiger Bauernhof

Their families care a lot of Alpaca providing them proper food and take care that they have a long and happy life, protecting them from harm. It is very common to see people taking their animals wherever they go, so close is their relationship. You can even see people taking their Alpaca in their car, much like Europeans might do with pet animals.

Until today the largest part of Alpaca wool is produced by Andean families. The whole production process from shearing over spinning and dyeing the fibres to weaving the fabric is done within the local communities, fabrics are woven in traditional workshops to preserve the precious qualities of the wool, using traditional techniques and ancient knowledge. Therefore, the whole process has a minimal carbon footprint as all materials involved are sourced and processed locally. Above all alpaca fibres, when carefully looked after, have an almost indefinite lifespan. Alpaca wool is a great gift that helps us to support local communities and that also helps to protect our world, our Pachamama.
